What are RediClinics?

RediClinic provides high-quality, convenient, and affordable healthcare that fits your lifestyle. RediClinics are convenient care clinics located inside select H-E-B stores and Rite Aid Pharmacies. RediClinics are staffed by board certified clinicians, who are trained and licensed to treat common conditions and provide preventive services, in collaboration with local physicians. RediClinic accepts most major insurance plans, appointments online, and we are open seven days a week.

Who can be treated at RediClinic?

At RediClinic, we see and treat patients 18 months and older.

Which conditions are treated at RediClinic?

Board certified clinicians treat more than 30 common conditions such as strep throat, ear infections, urinary tract infections, pink eye, and skin rashes. Clinicians are able to write prescriptions for these medical conditions when appropriate. Click here to see a list of our services.

What preventive services are provided?

Which tests or screenings are available at RediClinic?

At RediClinic, you can receive most common blood tests. Our tests include, but are not limited to, screenings for high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, liver and kidney function, thyroid disease, allergies, and prostate specific antigen (PSA). Our panels combine our most popular exams at a discounted price to give you an even better value for your money.

Who is a RediClinic Clinician?

RediClinics are staffed by board certified Nurse Practitioners or Physicians Assistants. All Clinicians are also supported by physicians who provide oversight to the clinics and are affiliated with a local healthcare system. Our Clinicians play a key role in making high-quality, patient-centered health care available to the broadest possible range of consumers.

What is the role of RediClinic’s oversight physician?

RediClinic clinicians operate under the supervision of local physicians which ensures that you receive the highest-quality, professional care.

Where can I find a RediClinic?

Where in the store are RediClinics located?

RediClinics are usually located at the front of the store, near the pharmacy and check-out counters.

When is RediClinic open?

RediClinics are open seven days a week, evenings and weekends. RediClinics also are open on most holidays. For clinic hours and locations, click here. 

Do I need an appointment?

Can I go to a RediClinic for any health issue?

No. RediClinics have a limited scope of practice, which is one of the reasons you’re in and out so fast. RediClinic clinicians do not treat broken bones, severe lacerations, or chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes. However, RediClinic clinicians do administer screening tests that are related to chronic conditions.

Can RediClinic clinicians renew prescriptions for chronic conditions?

No, they cannot treat nor prescribe for chronic conditions.

How do I access my screening and test results?

Lab results are available online at  Availability of results vary depending on type on test conducted.

  • Blood Test – usually within 1-3 business days after your visit.
  • Culture Test – usually available 3-5 business days after your visit
  • Instant Test – in-clinic instant test results are provided at the time of service

What is My RediClinic?

My RediClinic is an online service exclusively for RediClinic patients. My RediClinic gives our patients anytime access to valuable information and services online—information that is secure and confidential. The patient portal provides a wealth of convenient online services:

  • View lab results
  • Exchange messages with RediClinic
  • Review and pay billing statements
  • Research health topics
  • Review personal health information
  • Complete and update medical forms
  • Update your profile and contact information

What is Easy Pay?

Easy Pay is a pre-authorized bill pay system. A patient gives permission for RediClinic to charge their credit card automatically in the future. RediClinic will not place a “hold” for any amount on their card in the interim. The charge only occurs after their medical claims are processed and paid by their insurance, and only if we identify that a patient owes an additional amount for the services they received. Learn more.

How much do RediClinic's services cost?

Treatment for common conditions such as colds, strep throat, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and rashes costs $89 or, when applicable, your insurance co-pay. The cost of some diagnostic tests may be an additional charge. Our preventive services, including screening tests and panels, vaccinations, and physical exams, have varying prices, starting at $19.

Does RediClinic accept insurance?

RediClinic accepts Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, CIGNA, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and many regional carriers, as well as Medicare. Click here to see which carriers are accepted at your local RediClinic.
