Association March 19, 2007 in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 12, 2007) –
A panel of industry leaders will gather in Philadelphia to participate
in the first ever Retail Health Clinic Summit. Addressing the important
healthcare services provided by RediClinic and other retail clinics
throughout the country, the summit will focus on the industry’s
evolving business opportunities and their impact on pharmaceutical
companies as well as retailers and consumers.
The Retail Health Clinic Summit, presented by Drug Store News (DSN)
and the Convenient Care Association (CCA), will offer RediClinic and
seventeen of the industry’s most influential retail health clinic
entrepreneurs the opportunity to discuss critical industry issues,
business opportunities and best practices. Rosemarie Greco, director
of The Governor’s Office of Health Care Reform for Pennsylvania,
will address the summit to discuss Governor Ed Rendell’s health
care reform plan, especially as it relates to the convenient care
industry and nurse practitioners. “With Philadelphia’s
rich history of firsts in healthcare, it’s very appropriate
that this first industry summit is taking place here,” says
Tine Hansen-Turton, Executive Director of he Convenient Care Association.
“Governor Rendell’s administration has proposed a very
promising agenda as far as the convenient care industry is concerned.
To further demonstrate forward thinking, we are delighted that Rosemarie
Greco will address the summit to discuss the governor’s plans
to reform Pennsylvania’s healthcare system.”
Participating members of the convenient care industry include: AtlanticCare
Health Care System, Aurora Health Care, CareClinic, Inc., CheckUps,
Early Solutions Clinic, Express Clinics, Geisinger Health System,
HealthStop, Lindora Health Clinic, MedBasics, Medpoint Express, My
Healthy Access, QuickClinic, QuickHealth, RediClinic, Sutter Express

“The Retail Health Clinic Summit gives members of the Convenient
Care Association a unique opportunity to publicly discuss the growth
of our industry while responding to questions and key insights from
interested industries and parties," says Hal F. Rosenbluth, CCA
President. “We look forward to addressing summit attendees from
the financial, medical, academic, and pharmaceutical communities,
and further discussing the CCA’s goal of demonstrating one voice
and image for the emerging industry.”
Summit attendees will participate in two interactive convenient care
executive panels which will serve to share the latest news and information
on the retail health industry. This inaugural Summit is sponsored
by Bayer Health Care, Glaxo Smith Kline, and Wyeth Consumer Healthcare.
