RediClinic Introduces New Services and Reaffirms its Commitment to Year-Round Service in Houston and Austin
RediClinic announces newly added services, confirming their dedication to offering accessible, high-quality healthcare to local communities
HOUSTON (March 16, 2009) –RediClinic
LLC, the leading operator of retail-based ‘convenient care’ clinics
in Houston and Austin, Texas, announced today that it will be adding
five new services to its menu, with more to come later this year.
In light of MinuteClinic’s recent announcement that it is closing 90 clinics in CVS stores during the Spring and Summer months, RediClinic also reaffirmed its commitment to year-round, seven-day-a-week service at its 21 H-E-B locations in the Greater Houston and Austin areas.
New services being launched at RediClinic during the next 30 days include: steroid injections for allergy relief; Rocephin antibiotic treatment for common bacterial infections; B-12 shots for an energy boost; mononucleosis testing; and acne treatment.
These services are being added to RediClinic’s growing menu, which includes popular seasonal services such as pre-sports and camp physicals, and travel immunizations and medical consultations for those who are planning business trips or vacations abroad.
“We are pleased to be expanding the range of medical services available to Houston and Austin residents at our clinics in H-E-B stores,” said Web Golinkin, RediClinic’s chief executive officer. “RediClinic will continue to provide its unique brand of convenient and affordable healthcare seven days a week and on a year-round basis.”
RediClinics are in-store healthcare facilities staffed by certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants who work with local physicians to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for common medical conditions, such as earaches, strep throat, and upper respiratory infections. RediClinic’s clinicians also administer a wide range of preventive services, including health screenings, flu shots and other vaccinations, and basic physical exams.
RediClinics are open seven days a week (including most holidays) and offer extended hours on weekdays. Adults and children over age two are welcome, no appointments are necessary, and a typical visit takes about 15 minutes.
RediClinic visits are covered by the five largest commercial health insurance carriers in Texas – Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, CIGNA, Humana and UnitedHealthcare and a growing number of other third party payers. For those who do not have health insurance, or who are covered by a plan that does not have an agreement with RediClinic, all “Get Healthy” visits cost $75.00, including any instant diagnostic tests that may be required.
